Antiracism: Spotlight on the Moment | June 23, 7 - 9pm

Worldwide protests have exploded in recent weeks after the killings of unarmed black Americans, including George Floyd in Minnesota, Breonna Taylor in Kentucky, and Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia. Join us for the opportunity to process the tragedies, respond to the uprising of support for Black Lives Matter, and consider what might come next.

Antiracism: Understanding Whiteness | July 15, 7 - 9pm

Why is it important for white people to think about being white? If you are white, you may even find the term “white people” off putting or jarring. What can white people do to support equity and racial justice for Black and Brown people? Join us to talk about it!

Antiracism: Slavery and its Consequences | August 5, 7 - 9pm

Slavery in America officially ended with the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, but our country is still dealing with its ongoing aftermath today. Join us for a conversation about why it’s so hard to move beyond our racist history, and what it will take for the United States to become a place of justice for all people.

Ryan Hawk will be recording a virtual/zoom “live” show with Dr. Karen M. R. Townsend. Dr. Townsend is a certified diversity educator and regularly speaks on the topics of race, leadership, and inclusion.

The purpose: To have a dialog and sharing session designed to create a safe space for people to candidly, openly, and honestly discuss how they have been impacted by the current cultural climate.
